    Is there availability in 2023?

    Yes, there are a few weeks available through the remainder of 2023, please contact us.

    How many people does Villa Santa Caterina sleep?

    8-10 people, perfect for larger families or small groups of friends to relax and reconnect. There are three bedrooms in the Main Villa, two of which offer a queen bed and air conditioning, and the third with two singles. Shai’s Cottage offers a mezzanine bedroom with queen bed, and a double sofa bed in the main living area. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.The Master Bedroom’s bathroom offers a bathtub and shower.

    Does the Villa have a private pool?

    Yes, the beautiful infinity pool offers stunning views of the Umbrian hills, and is ideal for cooling off on a warm summer day. Yours to enjoy in total privacy! Lounge chairs, pool towels and umbrellas are provided.
    The pool is available to guests at all times. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

    What is supplied at the Villa?

    We supply high quality towels and linens, and pool towels. Each bathroom offers a hairdryer and some basic cosmetics - shampoo, shower gel etc, tissues and toilet paper.

     

    In the kitchen you will find some dry goods you can use - salt, pepper, vinegar and our own organic olive oil! We also have spices and some other condiments available for your use.

     

    Please note the nearest supermarket is a 20 minute drive away, so we recommend stopping on your way here to pick up the supplies you need, to avoid having to head back out once you're here.

    Where is the Villa located?

    Villa Santa Caterina is located in the green heart of Italy, Umbria, and positioned centrally between Florence and Rome. The closest village of Pierantonio is a 5-minute drive, with the market town of Umbertide 15-minutes away. The charming medieval towns of Perugia, Gubbio, and Assisi are easily accessible in 30-45 minutes by car. There are plenty of activities available onsite, including wine tasting, yoga classes, massages, catered meals, and hiking the surrounding trails.

    Is the Villa self-catering?

    Yes, with a fully fitted kitchen, wood-burning pizza oven, and a gas BBQ, guests have everything they need to create delightful meals. The dining room comfortably seats up to ten, while the outdoor terrace is ideal for alfresco dining under the vines.


    If you feel like a night off, we can arrange a professional ‘pizzaiolo’ to make you pizza in our wood fired oven, and also arrange a private chef for one or more of your meals. And - this being Italy! - there are many wonderful restaurants within easy reach of the Villa, we are happy to make recommendations!

    How comfortable is the Villa?

    Villa Santa Caterina offers a range of modern comforts including air conditioning (in two of the bedrooms in the Villa, and in Shai’s Cottage), wifi (Main Villa), a smart TV and a fully fitted kitchen. Where possible the windows are fitted with mosquito nets. We provide high quality towels and linens, as well as basic kitchen items upon arrival, shampoo and shower gel.

    Is Villa Santa Caterina good for families?

    We welcome families from all over the world. The ample gardens and pool, and the private nature of our location, make Villa Santa Caterina a wonderful place to share special moments with loved ones. Please note that minors must be accompanied at all times in the pool area.

    What time is check-in and check-out?

    Rooms are available by 16:00 the day of your arrival and check-out is at 11:00. Should you have any special requests regarding arrival or departure time, please contact us and we’ll help if we can!

    Can I reach the Villa by train?

    You can arrive by train at Terontola Cortona station, and we can arrange a taxi ride for you from there. Please note though that due to the Villa’s location, a car is highly recommended, so that you can explore and enjoy the surrounding area and restaurants. If you do wish to arrive by train, let us know and we will arrange your needs and take care of grocery shopping for you (at additional charge).

    Is there a hairdryer?

    Yes, the Villa is stocked with all of the essentials for your stay – all bathrooms have a hair dryer, extra towels, and shampoo and conditioner, the bedrooms include plenty of pillows and blankets, and a fully fitted kitchen is ready for cooking your own meals.

    What's the best time to visit?

    Umbria has four distinct seasons. Winters often see temperatures fall below freezing and snow is frequent. Spring is windy and bright green. Summers are pleasantly hot and breezy, and fall is harvest time.
